September 11 2007 will mark the sixth anniversary of the deaths of 3000 souls from the USA, Australia and from other parts of the world. Some of the people who were in the WTC on that day were also Muslim. Despite the insistence of the Troofers implicating George Bush and Mr. Cheney, the real truth is that this was a Jihadi attack by members of the RoP - that is the attackers were followers of the false prophet. On that day, 14 Arabs took over 4 aircraft in the USA, two of the planes went into the twin towers of the World Trade Centre, one smashed into the Pentagon, and another was brought down in a field in Pennsylvania. One of the perpetrators was a man named Mohammed Atta.

Just in case people have forgotten, these Jihadists subscribed to the Mohammedan ideal of the world wide Caliphate. This is the real attempt to bring about a one world government. However, too many people are loathe to admit that the real threat to our freedom is in fact coming from the jihadists. These people believe instead that the Pope and Vatican is the anti-Christ. Their refusal to see the truth is the one thing that keeps us bound in chains, and at the service of Satan. These are the same people who subscribe to the culture of death that permeates our society today.

Lest we forget about the victims of September 11, I remind my readers that these are the people who will never be forgotten. The brave souls on the flight over Pennsylvania knew that they would not get out alive, and so they tackled the hijackers, and by doing so they averted a more serious disaster.

The perpetrators have their just reward, but it is not a reward in heaven like they were led to believe. Instead they have received what was their due because God is always just.

Radical Islam is a culture of death

I have not posted on this subject for a very long time. It is rather disheartening to read about the violence of jihad that is raging all around the world. Muslims like to pretend that the violence of jihad is not a part of their religion, but I have to ask are they telling the truth? For all the pretence of saying that there are similarities between Islam and Christianity, I am now convinced that the similarities are an illusion.

I am not an Islamophobe because the truth is, people who scream "Islamophobe" against anyone who is prepared to speak the truth about Islam, do not want the world at large to know the truth. The word "Islamophobe" is supposed to mean that a person is afraid of Islam. However that is simply not true if all we are doing is seeking to inform the population at large the truth about what Jihadists really want. There are Muslims who do not agree with the activity of these Jihadists, and if the Jihadists had their way then these Muslims would face certain death if the world wide Caliphate was to become a reality. Yes, the lives of the so called moderate would be in as much jeopardy as the life of the Christians, Jews, Buddhists, Hindus, Taoists, and others who refuse to submit to Islam.

I am not purveying hate by telling the truth, because I also know what is written in the Koran, as well as the Hadith and the Sunnah. Mohammed was not some gentle man who was a holy man of God. He was anything but gentle. He was a murderer and a thief. There is much that can be said about the false prophet Mohammed, and in the same way there is much to be said about the false prophet Joseph Smith who started the cult of the Mormons. Except for the violence there is little difference between the Mormons and the Mohammedans (but that is another story).

I hope to eventually spend more time posting to my blog, and I intend to cover some of the material that I have been reading. There is just so much to be absorbed, especially after the failed attack on Glasgow airport.

I have so many news articles on the antics of the members of that death cult known as the RoP that it is hard to know where to begin. I do feel that comments about Islamists are best kept to an alternative blog, and that I keep this blog to cover other aspects of the Culture of Death. However, there are a few recent developments that need comment here.

First, once again in Great Britain we see how this peaceful religion, known as Islam, has once again spawned people who were plotting to abduct and murder a British Muslim soldier. They were intending to behead the soldier and telecast the beheading over the Internet. What a charming bunch of people, and such model citizens - NOT!!

I can barely contain my sarcasm on this subject because these Pakistanis do not belong in Great Britain. They should be sent back to Pakistan. They have been fomenting trouble for the past few years, and to my mind it is not legitimate to blame the Afghanistan and Iraq wars for this situation. The comment that these people are increasingly angry because of British involvement in these countries is a total crock. The notion that Islam is being unfairly attacked is totally absurd. This kind of thinking is just an excuse as far as I am concerned for these radical elements to try and force the west to accept Islam and to live under Sharia law.

Second, and this story involves both Iraq and Iran, the Iraqi army has been successful in acting against a cult who believed that their leader was the Mahdi. They planned to kill the Ayatollah al-Sistani(a moderate leader) and other imams in Iraq.

"The cult believed its plan to seize the Shiite holy city and assassinate top Shiite clerics would bring about the coming of the Mehdi, a Muslim messiah, the official said.

Col. Ali Jraiwi said the insurgents detained after Sunday's fighting told Najaf police they are members of a group called "Soldiers of Heaven" and are a mix of Sunni and Shiite Muslims.

Iraqi officials said the insurgents planned to seize control of Najaf and the surrounding province and kill top Shiite religious figures, including al-Sistani, Iraq's most revered Shiite leader. (Map)

Jraiwi said they also planned to attack the Imam Ali Shrine at the heart of the city and Shiite pilgrims observing the annual Ashura holy period.

An Iraqi military commander in charge of the Najaf area told The Associated Press that the leader of the group, whom he identified as Ahmed Hassan al-Yamani, was among those killed.

f the insurgents had carried out their plan to assassinate al-Sistani, the effect on Iraq and the rest of the region would have been devastating, according to Vali Nasr, who studies Shiite influence in the Middle East.

His possible death "would really plunge Iraq and the possibly the rest of the region into a bloodbath," said Nasr, a professor at the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School and author of "The Shia Revival," a recent book on the rise of the sect.

"Ayatollah Sistani is the most revered and the most followed Shia spiritual leader," Nasr said.

"He is like the Shia pope. Shias follow him across the Middle East in religious affairs, and his death at the hands of the insurgents would be of enormous symbolic value."

Al-Sistani pushed for early elections after the U.S.-led invasion that toppled Saddam Hussein in 2003 and urged his followers in the majority-Shiite country to turn out and vote. During the years of attacks by Sunni Arab insurgents, he has urged his followers to avoid bloodshed in reprisals."

So it would seem that this cult was going to Najaf in order to kill the religious leaders. If they had succeeded then there would have been chaos in the Middle East and a signal to Ahmanutjob that now is the time to strike in the Middle East and in the west. There is suspicion that the cult had ties to Iran and there is proof that they follow the lunatic idea that the 12th imam is about to jump out of the well. The purpose of the assassination plot was to bring on the events that would lead to the Islamic version of Armageddon.

The war between the Jihadists and the West has been heating up, and there is something very surreal about the way in which the war is being fought. Our soldiers are not using special swords, or light sabres, but I guess that is one of the things that made Star Wars into a classic film. So, why use this analogy in the first place? It is because the men and women involved in the terrorist activity have been brainwashed into believing that the animals are receiving all necessary care. The Jihadists are very much like the theives who belonged to the Emperor (a prince of darkness), and Luke Skywalker leads the way with his valiant efforts not to give into the dark side of the force. The Star Wars movies are a battle between good and evil. They stories serve to give the young a sense of good and evil - though some do not get it.

A new development in Pakistan should serve to give Israel, plus the Allies, a break in Pakistan, Israel, Iraq and Afghanistan. The MSM is reporting that up to 80 died in the raid on the border between Pakistand and Afghanistan. The question that is now being raised, is whether this was an action of the Pakistani government, or whether it was the work of an American drone. It does not matter, because it means that 80 terrorist trainees have been rubbed out in one action. The intelligence report seems to be that the target was Zaharwi but there is no proof that he was in the region. However, the imam who was in charge of the madrassa was a key figure in Al Qaeda within Pakistan. He had been sheltering Osama Bin Laden in the past, and so he is no loss.

On another front, in Afghanistan, there has been further news that 55 members of the Taliban have been killed. This is good news. I do hope that some of the Taliban leaders were amongst the dead. Considering some of the shocking things that they have perpetrated in the recent past, they deserve to be rubbed out - the sooner, the better.

Who in the western world is going to come to the aid of Salah Uddin Shoaib Choudhury, editor of the Weekly Blitz newspaper in Bangladesh? He is a moderate Muslim who believes that there should be ties between Israel and Bangladesh. Salah was arrested in 2003 as he was attempting to leave bangladesh, on his way to address a forum in Israel relating to strengthening ties between Israel and the Muslims. He spent 17 months in prison, without being brought to trial. However Salah Choudhury is now facing going on trial for charges relating to sedition and treason that will end in a verdict of guilty and being given the death penalty. His only crime is to have a pro-Israeli stance.

On October 5 a mob of 40 screaming monkeys, including two government ministers raided the newspaper officer, where they beat and abused Choudhury. Police were present and he was not allowed to file charges of assault against his attackers.

The human rights of this man have been denied to him, and this is an ever increasing trend in countires where there are totalitarian fundamentalist Islamic governments. Anybody who does anything that displeases the government faces humiliation, torture, false charges, a false trial, imprisonment and death in a barbaric fashion.

"Allah won't be appeased until we reach the White House"

An Al Qaeda operative and prison escapee, known by the alias Libi, has made a fresh call for a jihad against the White House. This man seems to think that he has a direct line to Allah, and most likely thinks that he has a similar mission to the false prophet Mohammed, because he stated:

"Allah will not be pleased until we reach the rooftop of the White House,"

However, I question the nature of this Allah, for it seems that this Allah is based upon the perception of the wicked who deem it necessary to conquer the world in the name of Islam. Despite the similarities that are on the surface, Islam adherents do not worship the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. I am not saying that Muslims worship a moon god, for that is a vicious statement that has its origins in the Jack Chick organization. Personally, I reject all claims of that nature. What I am saying is that the Islamic perception of God is the problem.

Christians, especially Catholics, have a familial relationship with God. That is why we see God as our Father, and Jesus as our brother. We do not deny the Divinity of Jesus Christ by saying that he is our brother, because Jesus is Son of Man and Son of God at the same time. This is a concept that is so hard to grasp for people who do not have the ability to believe that Jesus is the promised Messiah. We see God, as Father, Just Judge, Merciful, Loving, Forgiving, and Righteous. It is through the grace that comes from the Holy Spirit that we desire to be close to God, and we desire Wisdom. Jews also have an understanding of God as a Just Judge, Merciful, Compassionate, Forgiving and Loving. The relationship between God and the Jews is not quite the same as the Christian relationship, but it is close.

However, the perception that Islamists have of God is one that is totally distorted. It is a relationship of master/servant, and closely resembles that of the puppet and its master. The adherents of Islam are like puppets whose strings are being pulled by the puppet masters, yet at the same time, the puppet masters see themselves as being slaves of "The Master". This is why a statement such as the one uttered by Abu Yahya al-Libi, indicates that the mob who have involved themselves in violent jihad, are being manipulated as though they are puppets. Men like al-Libi are good with the words and so they make good recruiters of those who are willing to kill themselves in order to bring about the goal of a world wide caliphate.

This distorted view of God comes directly from the Koran, a book that is full of the sayins of Mohammed. It was the false prophet Mohammed who began the whole myth of a god who needs to be appeased. It is why Muslims talk about the "Will of Allah", which is not the same as when a Jew or Christian talks about doing the Will of God. The Jihadist thinks of the will of allah in terms of conversion to Islam. Mohammed taught that anyone who refused to convert, and who was not willing to pay the Jizyah must die. The modern jihadist is following in the footsteps of Mohammed. That is why al-Libi dares to make the claim that Allah will not be pleased until Muslims have conquered the White House. However, al-Libi is as deluded as Mohammed and his followers. His allah exists only in the mind. His allah is nothing more than a false idol. This is why Islamists, especially the jihadists are guilty of idolatry.

Why bomb a coffee shop in Gaza?

A new group of facists are establishing their presence in Gaza. The target of the bomb attack is an internet coffee shop. What on earth does this group mean when it warns about not complying with Islamic ethical standards? The group claiming responsibility for the bombing says that it warned the coffee shop owner that his business was in jeopardy.

This begs the question about what the Gaza Al Qaeda could mean by "ethical standards". Where are the ethics in blowing up the business of someone else? Where are the ethics in vandalism? Where are the ethics in murder-suicides? This is the Islamic season of Ramadan, when all good Muslims go on a public display with their fasting, making sure that everyone can see what they are doing. Could it be that young Muslims were heading for the coffee shop and breaking their fast? Was the coffee shop owner a Muslim, or was he perhaps a Christian? Did he serve Christians in his shop?

The bombing of an internet coffee shop and claiming that there was unethical behaviour is further proof of the hypocrisy that we are finding amongst Islamofacist jihadis. It is a double standard, for they are involved in violent behaviour and yet they proclaim that someone else is not behaving in an ethical manner? Please spare me such hypocrisy.

Ramadan - Call to holiness or....

The month of Ramadan in Islam is meant to be a month of fasting. In one respect Ramadam parallels the Catholic season of Lent, and it also parallels that period of the Purim in Judaism because Muslims are being called upon to fast. In its purest form, Ramadan should be seen as a preparation for holiness. However, like everything else that we have recently learned about Jihadi practices, we should not be fooled into believing that Ramadan is holy in the way that "holy" is understood by a Christian.

This is not aimed at Muslims who do in fact take Ramadan seriously, and who fast but do not get involved in violence. My comments are aimed at the mullahs and imams who continue to foment violence amongst their followers. If Ramadam is such a holy month, why is there so much violence in the Gaza strip? In Gaza alone, a situation developed that has brought the area to the brink of civil war between the two different factions. Hamas continue to deny the right of Israel to exist. In Belgium, in the dirty digusting neighbourhood of the Muslim immigrants in Brussels, there was rioting for three consecutive evenings. You see they waited until the fasting for the day had been completed, and then they were let out on the streets to engage in an orgy of rioting and looting. In France, we hear again how there is a situation that is an undeclared Intifada in the slums of the North African Muslims.

What remains chilling is the way in which the leadership of Al Qaeda have continued to issue their death threats, against westerners, in demanding that the west either converts to Islam or dies, and against other Muslims who are not doing what Al Qaeda wants, especially in Iraq. The Muslims who are being threatened are the ones who want self-governance so much that they have been willing to be trained so that they can perform duties in relation to law and order. This kind of compliance is seen as "fraternizing with the enemy", and that means that they are apostates.

On top of this we have seen the rather stupid fatwa taken out against Pope Benedict XVI by some rather stupid "scholars" and imams in Pakistan. What do they think that they will achieve by declaring such a fatwah? What they have done is to prove the point that was originally being made: that nothing good has come from the false prophet Mohammed (may he rot in hell).

It is said that violence beget violence. Pope Benedict XVI has done nothing that is violent. He is a man of peace. He clearly does not believe in the making of war, and his own background as a German who resisted Hitler is ample proof that he is a real man of peace. It is true that the young Josef Ratzinger was enrolled into Hitler Youth, just like every other school boy in Germany. He had no say in the matter. However, the young Josef Ratzinger was resourceful, because he in fact refused to attend the meetings. His own schoolmaster did nothing to stop this disobedience to the civil authority. When he was a little older he was supposed to man the guns that were to defend his town against the British raids, but Josef deserted his post. He did nothing wrong but he was very couragous in taking such unilateral action that could have seen him captured and imprisoned, or even worse, he could have been murdered because of his refusal to serve Hitler.

Jesus said: When you fast, do not let anyone know what you are doing (paraphrased). However, in Islam, we see the opposite situation in force. Muslims do this mass fasting for the month of Ramadan. The MSM plays up this fasting to the hilt. In lots of ways the fasting itself is nothing more than putting on a show, since they fast during the day, but they pig out at night when no one is looking at them.

"For we want the flag of Islam to fly over those lands again, who were lucky enough, to be ruled by Islam for a time, and hear the call of the muezzin praise God. Then the light of Islam died out and they returned to disbelief. Andalusia, Sicily, the Balkans, Southern Italy and the Greek islands are all Islamic colonies which have to return to Islam's lap. The Mediterranean and the Red Sea have to become internal seas of Islam, as they used to be".

These are not the words of Al Qaeda, they were taken from the programme formulated by the founder of the Muslim Brotherhood, Hassan Al Banna, in a speech. The Brotherhood today has millions of adherents and spread out far beyond Egypt. Its intellectuals are working in Europe and the United States; they count as "moderates" and are treated accordingly by the media. Re-conquest of "lost" territory according to plan is part of the agenda of states, that is political communities, fighting about territorial power. How can it be part of a religion's programme? Is Islam a religion like any other?

Since the beginning of the classical period between the ninth and the eleventh century Islamic jurists have divided the world into two parts, namely the "House of Islam" and the "House of War". This dichotomy is independent of where Muslims live in large numbers, or even form the majority, but depends on where Islam rules supreme - by applying Shariah - or where it does not rule. So, this dichotomy is not religious in nature, but political. Between these two parts of the world naturally exists a state of war, until the House of War is no more and Islam rules the world (Sura 8, 39 and 9, 41). Thus, according to classical teaching, for the Muslim community there is a duty to wage war against the disbelievers, until those either convert, or submit. This war is called jihad.

While Jesus' missionary call meant to convert all peoples, but to leave their political order untouched, Islam's aim is to submit all non-muslims politically, but to leave their religion untouched, if it is a religion of the book. God's general call to jihad is based on surah 9, 29. It is true though, that minute factions of islam did not accept this interpretation. The Shiites accept it, but demand that a true imam must be leading the Muslim community (and has been waiting for such a one for more than 13 centuries), so that for the time being they only feel bound to defensive jihad, in the case of attacks on the Muslim community.

On the other hand, the other factions, e.g. the so-called Kharijites, have radicalised the content of Sura 9.29: for them, jihad is an individual duty of each able-bodied muslim, which counts as a sixth pillar next to the other five cardinal duties. In the consequence of such teachings: when everyone has to either take part in the collective war against the unbelievers, or, should the Muslim community be too weak for the time being, has to wage war alone or in small groups, then assassinations and terror attacks are right. What the Kharijites demand for offensive jihad, most proponents of orthodox Sunnah-teachings demand for defensive jihad: when Islam is being attacked, or islamic territory is being invaded by infidels, jihad becomes an individual duty, e.g. a fatwa of the Grand Mufti of Cairo's Al-Azhar university - against Israel - leaves no doubt about that. Any enemy power that acts according to the Hague rules of warfare and strictly distinguishes combatants and non-combatants will be in great difficulty. The state of war lasts so long, until the House of War is destroyed, and the world is conquered. This is why Majid Khadduri calls Islam a "divine nomocracy on imperialist foundations". Peace treaties, which Islamic rulers closed with non-Islamic rulers, were only considered as cease-fires; this is why as a rule, they were only closed for no more than ten years. Two schools of jurisprudence permit no more than three to four years of peace. The short deadlines made it possible for the militarily superior Muslims to constantly blackmail their adversaries; this way throughout the centuries huge amounts of money and humans went to the Muslim side. When the paradigm of power shifted, Muslim rulers had to change their practice.

Thus in 1535 Suleiman the Magnificent made a peace with the French king which was to last for the lifetime of the Sultan - a break with tradition. Christian theologians tried to define, in the face of a plurality of states, what could be deemed a "just war" and what could not be deemed such. To wage war just in the interest of faith for the most part was not considered just. For Muslim scholars on the other hand, the "house of islam" is a political unit, which does not permit internal war, therefore only war for the sugjugation of infidels was considered legitimate and even a duty, as the famous fourtheenth-century scholare Ibn Chaldun categorically states: "In Islam the jihad is prescribed by law, because it has a universal calling and is supposed to convert all of humanity to Islam, be it of their own free will, or by force".

The rules of engagement for jihad are flexible. According to Khadduri, anything is possible, from mercy to mass enslavement to mass killing, just like with Greeks and Romans. This is a fundamental difference between the holy war of islam and of Old Testament Judaism, which prescribed the killing of all males outside of Israel, and the killing of every living thing within Israel (Deuteronomy 20, 10-20). We usually are outraged at what the Crusaders did in Jerusalem in 1099. Yet, the Crusaders acted in accordance with the ius bellum of the times, Muslim conquerors did the same all the time and everywhere: 698 they hit Carthage, in 838 Syracuse; the notorious vesir of the Cordoban Caliphate, Al Mansur, led 25 wars in 27 years against the Christian realms of northern Spain, enslaving, destroying, laying waste. They hit Zamora (981), Coimbra (987), Leon, Barcelona twice (985 and 1008), then Santiago de Compostela (997).

The worst destruction was wreaked by the jihadis on Byzantine Anatolia, which was then still full of cities; the massacre of Amorium (838) has remained a symbol for a long time; the urban culture of Anatolia never recovered from it.

The Seljuk Alp Arslan had entire Armenian cities massacred, the worst being the capital Ani in 1064. Bat Ye'or's evaluation therefore is more than justified: "Its lack of measure, its regularity and the systematic character of the destructions, which Islamic theologians had decreed to be law, make the difference between jihad and other wars of conquest".Certainly, mass enslavement remained the favourite aim of the wars. That was the way in which, as early as the eight century, the biggest slave-holder society developed that world history has ever known; it demanded a permanent influx of new slaves, transformed the African continent into the biggest supplier of slaves, a destiny which Europe narrowly avoided.

The incredible speed, in which in 90 years an Arabian empire spanning from the south of France to India developed, with no single conqueror guiding the expansion, is unique. The world's most succesful imperialism was admired by no less than Hegel: "Never has enthusiasm as such done bigger deeds". If "enthusiasm" could do such a thing - what was its source? The answer is simple: martyrdom. Something happening in 963 in Constantinople may illustrate this: the emperor Nikephoros Phokas had just swept the Muslim invaders from Crete; now, he was planning a big war, to liberate eastern Anatolia and northern Syria from muslim rule. A council should help him: he pleaded with the bishops, to elevate soldiers dying in the war to the status of martyrs. Paradise would then have been assured for those soldiers. The patriarch stood up against the emperor: no church council could be empowered to anticipate God's decision, only God could decide on eternal salvation.

A scene of historical significance. The emperor knew what was at stake. Again and again, the Byzantians had to witness the Muslim troops fighting with a ferocious courage that the Christians could not emulate. Fallen Muslims were considered martyrs of the faith and marched straight to paradise. The concept of a martyr is fundamentally different in the two religions. Christian martyrs imitate the passion of Jesus, passively submit to torture and death; Muslim martyrs are active fighters.

Decisive for the warriors' acceptance of death was the firm promise of eternal salvation for those who die for the faith (surah 4, 74-76). Muslims should withstand a tenfold force (surah 8, 66-67); retreat was judged to be acceptable by later scholars if the enemy was at least double as strong, as Khadduri describes. As the decisive factor in any war is the fighting human being and his readiness to sacrifice himself, being on a par technically with the Arabs and Seljuks - in the long run, they had to succumb, if their morale was not of the same kind. Higher readiness to die is an enormous advantage in a fight- foolhardy operations can be waged and dashing manoeuvers to surprise and confuse the enemy; in that way, victory can be forced, that is technically and materially almost impossible, and battles are won, that would be lost under the usual circumstances.

Nikephoros knew about the military consequences of surah 4, 74-76; he was the first who tried to correct the conceptual military disadvantage of the Christian religion. But the bishops of the Eastern Church found themselves incapable of manipulating their theology in a way to create warlike martyrdom. This was it. The Byzantine emperors had to wage their heavy defensive wars against the permanent Saracen and Seljuk aggression without the help of religion, where they needed that help most.

Only the Western Church changed the theological-political situation: when Pope Urban II called the first crusade in 1095, he promised the Christian warriors forgiveness for their sins: fallen crusaders avoided divine judgement and were put on a par with martyrs in that respect, although they were denied that name.

The Pope as head of a monarchic church did just that, what the Council of Eastern bishops had not been able to do: he dispensed salvation. The papal church now could have the kind of "holy war" islam had been waging for centuries. What is the difference between Crusade and jihad? A Crusade could only be called by the Pope, and thus remained a rare occurence - compared to the countless, neverending and ubiquitarian jihads of the islamic world.

And the goals of the Crusades remain precisely defined; in November 1095, Urban II defined reason and aim of the crusade: "it is obvious, we must give help to our brothers in the east as soon as possible. The Turks and Arabs have attacked them and have invaded the realm of Romania (Constantinople) and by invading the lands of these Christians ever more deeply, they won seven battles, killed or captured a huge number of the Christians. If you don't oppose them now, the faithful servants of God in the Orient will not withstand this storm much longer". The first Crusades were meant to either help Christians in need, or to liberate the holy places in Palestine or to liberate Christians that had been subjugated by Muslims. On the other hand, the Muslim scholars always kept firm to their final goal, to conquer the "house of war" and subjugate all infidels.
Urban II was right. Had Constantinople fallen in 1100, the enormous military power of the Turk armies would have plagued Europe four hundred years earlier. Then the manifold European culture probably would never have been: no free urban constitutions, no constitutional debates, no cathedrals, no renaissance, no scientific boom, because in the Islamic world, free - Greek! - thinking was dying just at this time. Jacob Burckhardt's evaluation - "A stroke of luck, that Europe as a whole could ward off Islam" - means, we owe about as much to the Crusades, as to the Greeks' victory against the Persians.

But, have the Crusades not been abused? Certainly. Crusades "derailed" and were "abused", like the one that led to the conquest of Christian Constantinople in 1204. But that happened much more often with jihads. When slaves became scarce, emirs did not merely wage wars against non-Muslim peoples, who had to be enslaved anyway, but more and more often against Islamized peoples, under the pretext, that they were no true Muslims. That happened mainly in Africa and against black Africans, e.g. when first in 1468 Songhay and then the Moroccans in 1552 invaded Mali, or when in the 18th century religious reformers waged their jihad against Muslimized Hausa cities, which led to the creation of the Sokoto-caliphate - containing the third largest number of slaves after Brazil and the American south. Africa to this day suffers from the consequences of this permanent jihad with its genocides and mass-enslavements

Well, and what was the political order that the Muslims waged their holy wars for with such vehemence and success? For Shariah. A political order, which for one strictly separates masters from the subjugated and secondly takes political and social order away from human influence for the most part. Let's talk about the first aspect: According to the Shariah, the Muslims are masters, the followers of other "book religions" - Christians, Jews, Parsees, Buddhists, are subjugated, Dhimmi. These were not religious minorities, but huge majorities, especially in Syria, Anatolia or the Christians of North-Africa.

The subjugated were not allowed to carry weapons, they were unarmed, thus not 'real men'. Christians and Jews had to wear special colours or pieces of clothing (this discrimination was the origin of the "Judenstern") so as to be visibly "dhimmi"; they were not allowed to ride on horseback, only on mules, to remind them of their subjugation; they paid a special tribute (jizyah), that they had to pay personally, while being given a slap on the head. They had to let themselves be beaten by any Muslim, without being allowed to defend themselves; if a dhimmi retaliated, his hand would be cut off, or he would be executed. A dhimmi's witness did not count against a Muslim, who only had to pay half the fine for any crime committed against a dhimmi, and could never ever get executed for any such crime. On the other side, the most cruel methods of execution were reserved for the dhimmi.

Even the discrimination against the Jews, installed by the Western Church in the 4th Lateran Council in 1215, four hundred years after Islam, and which seems so barbarian to us, did not intend and did not lead to such a degree of humiliation and demeaning of people. A special horror was brought by the Turkish rule: from 1360 up to a fifth of Christian children were abducted into slavery. They were forcefully converted. The number of slaves through four centuries must have been millions; hundreds of thousands of choice boys among those were raised to be fanatical Muslims and elite fighters, the notorious Janissaries: a politic meant to systematically increase the Muslim population and slowly exterminate Christians. It was successful. "Dhimmitude" put non-muslims in a state of radical "otherness". To call people in this state "second class citizens" is a euphemism.

In the same way national socialism divided humans into master-race and subhumans on racial grounds, so Shariah did it on religious grounds. As the first world-religion, Islam created an apartheid, where Christian or Parsee majorities were colonised and slowly Islamized. Islamic tolerance meant: tolerate the subjugated as humiliated and demeaned. All this is well known via studies about "dhimmitude". But who wants to hear about the millions of victims?
Islam religiously "cleansed" huge territories: the second Caliph made the Hijaz, Arabia except Yemen "judenrein" and "christenrein"; the alternative was either to convert, or to be forced into emigration. Except for some Old Testament cases no religion ever before had done that. In the same way the Almohadis and Almoravids "cleansed" Spain after the breakdown of the Caliphate in 1031: tens of thousands of Jews and Christians had to either convert or flee to the Christian north of Spain, or the Levant. Certainly, English and French kings and the kings of Spain later on did the same - they applied the Muslim recipe in doing it. And the pogroms? Since the Caliph Al-Mutawakkil (847-861) waves of persecution again and again hit the Orient and North Africa, where Jews and Christians were forcibly converted, kicked out or massacred. The destruction of churches went on and on right until the century before last. Slowly, the rosy picture of Muslim Spain created by European anti-imperialism in the 19th century loses its fake colours. A scrupulous study of documents shows a different picture below that. In 889 in Elvira and in 891 in Seville, there were massive pogroms against Christians. In Moroccan Fez in 1033, 6000 Jews were massacred. 1058 Christian Antioch was forcefully Muslimized with torture and threats of death.
