When death becomes a photo opportunity

Over the past few days, I have been absorbed by the drama that is unfolding in the blogosphere as bloggers and their readers take the MSM to task over what can only be described as totally scandalous conduct. My attention was drawn to the events at Qana and like so many other bloggers, I found myself taking a log of interest in a number of photographs taken mostly by Adnan Hajj, a Lebanese photographer working for Reuters. As the drama has unfolded Adnan Hajj was sacked from Reuters over two photographs that were touched up in Photoshop in order to make the scenario being presented look far worse than what had really happened. Most of the attention has been centred upon the blatant use of dead children by Hezbollah, as though they were nothing more than propaganda trophies that could be placed before the photographers of the world to prove that Israel is deliberately targeting civilians.  My disgust with the whole situation is two-fold. I am disgusted with the MSM because they have been behaving in a most ghoulish fashion by taking the photographs of dead children, and allowing those children to be abused in such a shameful manner. Second, I am disgusted over the way that members of the "religion of peace", also known as Hezballah, as well as Hamas have shameless stagemanaged the photographs to the point where captions have been written against the photographs, even though that information is in fact wrong.

The latest photograph in this growing scandal is one produced in the Gaza strip, where the body of a 5 year old girl is being carried by a man described as a relative, and the original captions associated with the death of this child claimed that she was the victim of an Israeli air strike. In this photograph the men looking on as the child is being carried is very interesting, because at least two of them are carrying rifles inside a hospital, and they look a lot like members of Hamas. The information regarding the death of this child has been rectified, because the doctors at the hospital have stated that she was not killed as a result of the air strike, but as the result of a fall from a swing. Other bloggers covering this story can be found here. A write up on the Reutersgate scandal can be found here.

What is really disgusting about these photographs is the way in which the bodies of dead children are being treated as though they are the trophies of war. In this case, though, they are seen as a trophy because the present an opportunity to discredit their opposition - Israel. The photographers and the editorial staff of the various agencies are guilty of taking for granted that the photograph opportunities were not staged. The case of the child in the Gaza strip is a good example of how the photographers and the journalists present are helping the enemy to produce their propaganda with ease, and a gullible public (especially in Muslim nations) are taking it in, and on cue, they are starting up their anti-Israel protests. Some of the readers of the blog LGF have questioned whether the little girl could have ended up being killed as a result of an accident involving a swing. My own opinion on that matter happens to be that it is possible for a child to die tragically as a result of falling off a swing, if she is in the raised position (in the air) and she suddenly lets go of the ropes of the swing, which would allow her to tip out of the sit and hit the ground with a thud. The pattern of blood could reflect that she sustained severe head and facial injuries in the fall. It is also possible that if she did manage to get up and the swing came right at her, that she would have sustained injury that would have caused her to bleed heavily. This child died in tragic circumstances, and her body was violated by men (Hamas operatives) who saw her death as a propaganda opportunity. It is truly disgusting the way in which they have used this child's body. Yet, my criticism is reserved for the big guns in the MSM, who have not only been slow to withdraw photographs that were staged, but they have defended the staging of photo opportunities.

A reader on the European Referendum forum provided a link for a broadcast in Germany, and for the first time I can acknowledge that there are some honest journalists remaining in the world. The link consists of a video of the man who is referred to as "Green Helmet" directing a photo shoot of a dead boy child. This seems to be a new body from the first few photographs that I had seen of the scene in Qana. In video sequence we see Green Helmet talking to someone via a microphone. The child is delivered to the ambulance and placed inside, then Green Helmet decides that he needs more photographs, and he orders that the child's body is removed from the ambulance, then after the little one has been moved from one gurney and onto another one, his little body is manhandled by the Hezbollah members who are present in the scene. All the same the most gruesome picture is the one where a man, who is in the uniform of the Lebanese army holds up a dead child in what can only be described as a most disgusting way.

This same child was used as a prop for photographers to get their fill of photographic opportunities. Quite frankly, I find the stance of the man who is man-handling this child to be somewhat menacing. This is only one of many photographs that appear to have been staged for the benefit of the pro-Hezballah pack of MSM (moonbats) biased journalists. They want a story, and the Hezbollah have seized on the opportunity of using the bombing of Qana as a repeat opportunity.

There are serious doubts about the timing of the building collapse. Some people reading the blogs covering this story have pointed out that the site does not look like one that was used by a family sheltering to avoid the Israeli bombing raids. The basement looked more like a rubbish tip, and the roof of the basement was intact. Well of course that leaves the possibility of a hole in the side of the building. The question about Qana that remains: Did the Israeli air force cause the collapse of that house as claimed? Or, did something happen after the raids that caused the block to collapse. As we now know, the body count information that was passed around the world was wrong. The estimates of 60 dead was incorrect, and it is possible that the number of women and children present has been exaggerated. The body count was revised down to 28, but I stil think that this count is too high.

What kind of people would allow their dead children be used as photographic opportunities?
